MUNDO NUEVO ECO LODGE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1- CANCELLATION POLICY

Reservations can be cancelled free of charge up to 8 days before the day of arrival (7am Colombian time).

If the cancellation is made within 8 days of the arrival date, 100% of the reservation amount will be charged (+ bank charges + VAT if the customer does not send a copy of his passport and proof of visa). 

In the event of same-day cancellation or no-show, 100% will be charged (+ bank charges + VAT) if the customer does not send a copy of his passport and proof of visa).

If your booking exceeds the amount of 3,000,000 pesos, we reserve the right to charge 50% of the amount at the time of booking.

If for any reason your arrival date is delayed and you arrive one or more days late, you will be charged for the first night(s).

You pay for your accommodation, meals and drinks at the end of your stay.

The VAT of 19% is not included in the price: if you are a foreigner with a Colombian tourist visa, with proof of visa, you will not be charged VAT.

If you are a Colombian citizen or resident, the VAT rate of 19% will be applied by law.

2- CHILD PROTECTION IN RELATION TO SEX TOURISM.

Pursuant to Law 679 of August 3, 2001, which establishes provisions for preventing and combating exploitation, pornography and sex tourism with minors, and in accordance with the provisions of said law, everyone must prevent, block, combat and report the exploitation, hosting, use, publication, dissemination of images, text, documents, audiovisual files, the inappropriate use of global information networks or the establishment of telematic links of any kind related to pornographic material or alluding to sexual activities with minors. In application of the provisions of article 17, the hotel warns tourists that sexual exploitation and abuse of minors in the country are administratively sanctioned, in accordance with the laws in force. All minors, without exception, must present proof of age with the accompanying adult(s). If the adults are not the parents, they must present an authenticated letter of authorization and a copy of their identity papers in order to proceed with the corresponding registration. Similarly, and in order to comply with Resolution 3840 of December 24, 2009 and in accordance with Article 1 of Law 1336 of July 21, 2009, the hotel has adopted a model code of conduct to prevent the sexual exploitation of boys and girls and adilescants in the tourism business.

2.1 All crimes will be reported to the police.

3- PERSONAL ITEMS:

The hotel provides guests with keys and lockers. However, the care of objects and personal property is the responsibility of the guest. The hotel is not responsible for theft, kidnapping, extortion or any personal injury.

4- GUEST VISIT:

If you wish to have a guest in your room, you must announce this to the hotel reception desk and present the visitor's identity papers. If the guest wishes to stay, he/she must pay for the room or the corresponding rate. The guest is responsible for the use of the accommodation and the actions of any companions invited by him/her.

5-RISK SPORTS AND ACTIVITIES:

The practice of sports and extreme physical exercise, which may present a risk for customers, requires that they possess sufficient skills and knowledge. Guests assume full responsibility for any accident, damage or injury. The hotel is therefore expressly exempt from any liability for these reasons.

5-1. The customer must have a personal accident insurance policy or some form of international or national insurance.

6-NOISE VOLUME 

The customer agrees not to play or cause to be played any music and to respect the hours of silence from 8 pm to 8 am. Failure to comply will result in cancellation of the stay. The client is directly responsible for payment of any fines or penalties imposed by government bodies for excessive noise. The customer will be responsible for all consumption and overnight stays reserved for him/her during his/her stay and reservation.

7- PETS:

Pets (well-behaved) are accepted on request at the time of booking, but may be subject to additional payment.

8- ILLEGAL WILDLIFE TRAFFICKING AND SPECIAL PROVISIONS:

In accordance with national regulations (Law 17 of 1981), the hotel does not permit the commercialization, trafficking and illegal use of flora, fauna and cultural goods (Law 397 of 1997). "Do not commercialize or traffic illegally in cultural goods" Prevention and protection of National Heritage: Law 397 of 1997, Decree 833 of 2002, Law 1185 of 2008, Law 63 of 1986, Law 1675 of July 2013. Law 1482 of 2011 "Crimes due to racism, discrimination or sexual orientation can generate sentences ranging from 12 to 36 months in prison" Award T-282/11, agreement n)169 on indigenous and tribal peoples, 1989. Auto 004-009 " Protection of the fundamental rights of persons and populations displaced by armed conflict, declared in sentence T-025/04.

9- SUBSTANCES:

Smoking is prohibited in rooms and social areas (Law 1335 2009 Ministry of Social Protection), and is only permitted in designated areas.

The entry of alcoholic beverages is prohibited.

The use of drugs is illegal and prohibited on hotel premises.

Any breach of one of the above events will result in the automatic termination of the accommodation contract, with no right to reimbursement.

Possession of weapons is prohibited.

10- EXEMPTION FROM LIABILITY FOR TRANSPORT.

MUNDO NUEVO MINCA S.A.S is not responsible for the consequences or, in general, for contracts relating to transport services purchased by hotel guests. This type of service is contracted under the sole responsibility of the customer. MUNDO NUEVO MINCA S.A.S. and or Mundo Nuevo Eco Lodge, merely fulfils an informative role of this service, but is not part of the benefits offered by the hotel.

10.1 Under no circumstances will MUNDO NUEVO MINCA S.A.S and or Mundo Nuevo Eco Lodge, be liable for damage or any type of inconvenience caused to vehicles belonging to customers. Any type of liability triggered by the vehicles rests exclusively with the owner.

11- PROCESSING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION AND DATA AND ITS PURPOSE.

MUNDO NUEVO MINCA SAS, carries out procedures in its various areas that involve the collection, storage of personal information of customers, suppliers and employees, which are carried out strictly and at all times, in compliance with the principles of legality, purpose, freedom, veracity, quality, transparency, restricted access, security and confidentiality within the meaning of Article 4 of Law 1581 of 2012, in addition to adjusting to what is indicated in the personal information processing policies adopted by the company.

12- OBLIGATIONS OF THE HOTEL

12.1 : Guarantee the use or peaceful enjoyment of the hotel for the entire duration of the contract.

However, once a month we have to cut the grass and therefore generate noise for a few hours. Eventually, some work that may generate noise from 8.30 to 14h.

In February, cicadas reproduce at Mundo Nuevo, generating a lot of natural decibels. Under no circumstances can Mundo Nuevo Eco Lodge be held responsible.

Mundo Nuevo Minca Sas and/or Mundo Nuevo Eco Lodge can in no way be held responsible for general power cuts due to the region or bad weather.

12.2 Not to alter the form of the hotel, nor modify its legitimate use, except in the case of urgent and essential repairs

12.3 Inform the National Police of Colombia or MIGRATION and TRA , upon entry into the hotel of foreigners and nationals as guests or as persons registered by the hotel, on the same day of entry and exit within the meaning of Article 87, repealed by art 76, National Decree No. 834 of 2013 and Article 5 of Resolution No. 700 of 2021.

13-CUSTOMER OBLIGATIONS:

13.1 To return the room in the same conditions of delivery.

13.2 Do not sublet, transfer or assign this contract

13.3 Promptly notify the hotel of any damage to hotel facilities and services.

13.4 It shall be the responsibility of the guest to take care of any hotel facilities which, due to the guest's negligence, deteriorate. The cost of repair or replacement will be charged to the customer.

14. TERMINATION OF THE CONTRACT:

The accommodation contract is terminated: A) On expiry of the agreed term. B) Due to non-compliance with any of the parties' obligations. Non-compliance by the customer will not exonerate him/her from payment of all sums due for the agreed duration. C) When the contract is concluded on a day-to-day basis, i.e. when the duration of hotel stay is not expressly stated in the customer's hotel calendar, the contract will be terminated at the end of the contractually agreed hotel day. D) If the contract is for a fixed period, it will terminate on expiry, in which case the hotel may dispose of the room. In the event of early termination, the customer must pay the rate corresponding to the period agreed in the present contract. In the event of early termination of the contract, the customer must pay the rate for the period agreed in the present contract (DEPARTURE IN ADVANCE), unless there is a reasonable reason which, in the opinion of the hotel, justifies early termination of the contract. Should you fail to comply with any of these conditions, your reservation may be cancelled without refund.

In order to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all, we reserve the right to accept and/or eliminate any reservation in circumstances that would affect or harm the stay of other guests or violate our policies.
